Girl Reading

This portrait was done in a class I was taking at the local art club. My father had bought me an oil set for my birthday that year, and I wanted to take a class to learn how to use the medium. As of late, this painting has impressed me as being representative of my true style. I painted this before any Art History studies, formal training, or life in the real world. If I could strip out all personal experience, and tap into true self, this style is what I am sure I would find.
