Still Life of Pitcher and Fruit
2002, acrylic on board, 10 x 8 inches
This picture captures a very impressionistic presence, combined with rich color on a stark white background. This is a Hall’s kitchenware pot that belonged to my great grandmother. I am drawn to the intense color of it and aimed to re-create its form and shape using that color as juxtaposed against the white. I grow more and more fond of this painting as I continue on a quest to develop and discover my personal style.
